Players as always being introduced to festival of Horizon, with changing seasons starting from Fall, winter, spring and summer. By the end of the race we have to choose one of 3 cars and from there your career of the ultimate racer begins.

Gane reputation, skill points and money to buy a new car, that might take you up to half an hour because there are 750+ cars and tune it however you want and to get the aesthetics feeling of the car design, you will have hundreds of color variations and stickers. Along the new reputation level you will open special events, where you have to race against unusual machines, such as train, airboat, jets, planes and etc. The AI or "Driveatars" much better and skillful, then they were in a previous game, they are more aggressive, taking proper lines and consistent.

But the fun part begins when you play against real players, where the adrenalin of competition kicks in, you want to be the fastest driver of the lobby. At the beginning multiplayer experience wasn't perfect due to the fact of disynchronisation, unvisible collisions, wall riding, long loading, server crashes, but the developers tried their best to fix them as soon as possible and today multiplayer experience is no longer in a "nutshell".
